Friends, Romans Fl*sters, lend me your ears!  I need your thoughts on a little something. Now as you all know I'm off to Asylum 12 this year, or so I thought.  After all I'd purchased my ticket at last year's A10 before I even left the hotel. So imagine my surprise on the 15th of this month, when Wayne announced all the E Tickets had been sent out! I searched my in box, and lo there wasn't a bloody ticket in sight.

As per the Rogue announcement if you hadn't had your ticket you were to e mail them with your RC number.  Bit of a problem there no RC number, due to me paying cash at the convention.  I put this in my email and waited.... and waited and finally on the 19th I got an e mail back, informing me Wayne would be looking into my issue on the 24th.  Hell I even offered to scan my hand written receipt over to him.

Since then there has been silence, not a squeak so the question is how long do I wait before chasing said E ticket.  More importantly how stroppy should I get, because Wayne can be a prickly bugger and people have been banned for upsetting him.

I've got everything crossed that they figure out they have got my cash, I've even had my room booked since last October! You know next time I'll just wait for the bloody tickets to go on line, I can't go through this again.

Oh bugger!
As long as you've got your hand-written receipt, you shouldn't have a problem. I know someone who was in a very similar situation before A11.

I have news, Wayne asked me to send a scan of my receipt and on Friday he got back to me. He said my E Ticket would be sent in the next 48 hours. So fingers crossed I should have confirmation tomorrow.

So look out I could be lurking amongst the potted plants again!

I really hope they'll send your ticket as soon as possible. I think your receipt is strong and valid point here. Because whoever this Wayne dude is, you already paid for ticket and the receipt in question is absolute proof of your purchase. Anyone with a brain can see that. Anyway, I really do hope they'll solve the problem for you...

I think it's been sorted out, I'm just waiting for the E Ticket to be sent out.

Eeh, Wayne and his consorts. Pssshhh, I don't like them. I met them here in Germany two times now while visiting their conventions, they can get very impolite.

That said I would wait another day but tomorrow at the latest I would send another mail with all the correspondence up until now. They said 24th, tomorrow it would be two days. I would be nervous about it just like you and I would like to have my ticket.

And like the others said, you have the receipt, they can't refuse it.

But the good news is Wayne asked for a scan of receipt, and on Friday he said my ticket should be sent out in the next 48 hours. But if I don't see the ticket by Tuesday, then look out Wayne.

I'd be strong, firm, but not impolite. You have the hand written receipt so you have proof of purchase and yes he may be a pickly git some times but he can't deny you are due a ticket, but give him an extra day perhaps and then send a steady stream of mails one a day until it's fixed in your favour :)

Before I got to the firm e mails, Wayne contacted me. It seems that the hand written receipts for A68-A77 had gone walk about, he was going to speak to the volunteers who took our money. Then he asked for a scan of my receipt. At 1.15 AM on Saturday morning he e mailed again, and said my ticket should be sent out with in 48 hours.

So I've got everything crossed that it makes an appearance soon!

Any chance you could get a phone number to talk to the appropriate powers that be directly? E-mails can be easy to ignore, while a person on the phone isn't. Just be sure to be prepared and have every possible piece of information that they could want ready.
