Dean's flinch when Sam crushed the pearl made me cry, and your beautiful, tender, moving fic has made me cry, too! I love that while John was there, Michael was silent, and that focussing on his family helped Dean keep Michael's screams at bay. I also love that Dean wanted to keep the bruises, as a reminder that it was all real.
