Computer Update!

Friends, Romans,Fl*sters, after yesterday's little question, today I took my lap top to Currys.

Well after explaining my predicament, the young geek manning the desk turned said lap top on and off several times, and you guessed it.  It bloody well worked.  He was very nice and told me that it wasn't worth repairing until it broke down good and proper, after all i did buy it in 2009, sorry I don't care if it's steam powered I'm paying for cover.

But I can see his point unless there is a real issue and I can't turn the bloody thing on at all there isn't much they can do.

So now I'm backing up onto my USB stick and I'm looking at Amazon cloud storage for my documents.

Looks like I'm still writing after all *G*

backing up is a good idea... I'm ocd about that now as I've lost too much in the past... good luck with the computer, mine's around the same age and they do get quirky as they age.

I'd definitely get an external storage unit AND a cloud drive. Just in case. Then use that PC until it is DED.

Yay for the writing! Hopefully it'll last you through your holiday. And backup every single time you save anything - an external hard-drive is worth every penny!

Yeah I think storing your date to cloud is nice choice. So glad to hear you're writing! :D
