Friends, Romans, Fl*sters, I’m scurrying by tonight to give you a quick update and an apology.  Let’s start with the apology, I’m sorry I haven’t been around much and this state of affairs will continue for a while, as I’m desperately trying to write my reverse bang! As usual I’m fighting writer’s block, limited time and talent.  But I’m enjoying myself and I’m hoping I will get this completed in time, or at least enough written to get it finished and posted. So fingers crossed.

Now the update, as you can tell I’m writing like a mad thing and then I suddenly remembered the festive season will soon be upon us!  Yes I’m observant like that, now if you’d like a Christmas card please drop me a PM and I’ll get scribbling. I was thinking about trying to sort out some Supernatural themed cards, but I fear I’ve left it too late. But there’s always next year to have Dean on my Christmas cards....and I’ll just leave you with that image.

Now to round off it seems I might have found a new laptop! I’m lusting after a lovely Acer on Amazon, now the question is do I buy an extended warranty from them in case of disasters.  Or should I just save up in case the laptop goes pffuuuttt? I appreciate all advice and comments in this matter.

Now if you’ll excuse me I’ve just left Jensen and Jared dealing with a hostage situation.

For what it's worth, my Dad works in an electrical shop (they don't do computers but they sell TV's, audio systems, white goods etc) and they don't offer warranties on their goods. He always warns me off buying warranties for items and says they're a big con, very often worth more to the store than the item itself, that's why the likes of Currys etc push them so hard and why his boss won't offer them.

Your computer is legally covered by manufacturers warranty in the first year, and covered by home insurance for accidental damage. He reckons for the money you pay, it's cheaper just to get an engineer to look at it in the event something goes wrong.

But whatever you decide, I hope you and your shiny new lappie will be very happy together and I look forward to reading what comes out of it.

Mind you, I shouldn't get to close to it at A14 - it might melt ...

Jesus CRAP! I forgot your email! I'm so sorry. I have a day off tomorrow but I need to do the xmas card run to the post office (the extra bits for the fandom pieces haven't arrived yet!) but I will look at it as soon as I'm home, cos I had a few To-Do list things to get finished this evening. Including my snoresville online training for work, lol!

Seriously, once you get passed the fact that it's not a windows laptop (actually have you got the windows version or the google?) It's so freaking easy it's unreal. If you need I'll walk you through it all :)

We had Acer desktops in our house and our holiday house for years. Have just gotten rid of them last year so they were very reliable. We shared the one at home so it did tons of work in its lifetime. Now we both have Toshibas and are very happy with them. Mine's a laptop so I can take it travelling with me at a pinch.
