Seriously. WHAT THE FLYING FUCK WORLD.

"File-sharers, beware: By July 12, major US Internet service providers (ISPs) will voluntarily begin serving as copyright police for the entertainment industry, according to Cary Sherman, chief executive of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The so-called “six-strikes” plan is said to be one of the most effective anti-piracy efforts ever established in the US."

The article goes on to give details. After six notices, internet providers will decide to throttle a person's internet speed, or cut it off altogether. I don't know if they will crack down on torrents only, or if it is up to the internet provider. I get the sense it is up to the internet provider. So some people could get away with downloading non torrents, while others might get their internet service cut off. I urge you to click it and read, as we all know people who download.

No more downloading eps of your favorite shows for vidding, gifs, or fanfiction art. No more downloading screencaps possibly. I'm so sorry my friends. I don't even know if BT Guard will work to protect you, but I would google it if I were you. It is a professional service that supposedly can protect you from the invasive eyes of your internet provider.

Just, my friends, please make each other aware. Please be aware of the date JULY 12TH. Mark your calendar and double check with your internet provider by then. If you start receiving notices of downloaded activity, this is why. And your internet service could be throttled or cut off.

In light of all what is happening in the big bad world I have a question dear fl*sters.  If the unthinkable happens and they do come after fandom, would anyone out there be interested if I converted a couple of my fics to original stories, Hell is other people and Acolyte0301 spring to mind here.  Are there any sites out there I could post them too?  more importantly are they good enough?

Also if we do all have to bend over and kiss our respective fandom asses goodbye, I wonder if we could send the media companies a little present..... tell me if this is stupid and it is only to be considered in the case of fandom wide Armageddon (sites being closed).

Right all of us who have fics (preferably gen case fics, let's not scare these people too much if you know what I mean *G*), icons, art work, should send in requests to the powers that be asking to be able to post them to the net.  Look it's all about permission right?  now I know they are going to say no, but just think of having to wade through thousands of requests, one chapter and icon at a time, if nothing else it will irritate the crap out of them.  Just to let them know we not will we not fade away quietly, as I say only in the case of Armageddon not before.

Finally before I dissapear, I will keep writing until they tell me to stop, I love it and you guys too much to just surrender.

Friends, Romans Fl*stters! A little thing I just noticed on tumblr.....you know enjoy it while you got it an all that.

It is a handy little web site that allows us Europeans to track down our MEPS and email them....well I just have and while I'm still allowed to do this the link is....

Write to them

Go to it folks, let's make as much noise as possible, I'm  not sure if it only works for those of us in the UK, but please try it and get protesting before it's too late and we sat by and did nothing.
